Why let us take your school or college on a guided history tour?

At Anglia each of our tours is individually designed, with locations chosen in consultation with you and your team that make the best use of your time on the ground. Once you contact Anglia you will be given an allocated Desk officer to help you through the process of booking and organising your tour. They will be available to answer any questions you may have and to liaise with your allocated guides concerning any matters of the tour.

We aim to visit every customer to discuss your requirements and to give pre-tour presentations where practicable. The quality of delivery by our guides speaks for itself. In any event, you have my personal assurance that you will be well looked after throughout the entire process.

Glyn Technology School in France and Flanders
27-Jul-10 15:50

On 19th – 20th July 2010 the staff and students of Glyn Technology School travelled to France and Flanders with Anglia on a tour of the Battlefields of the Great War led by Bob Hilton and John Taylor.

The tour started, as many do, with a study of the Ypres Salient and consideration of the impact the decision to hold this town had upon the course of the war. The destruction wrought upon Ypres and its surrounding area and the sacrifice made by thousands of young men, is so poignantly remembered by the citizens of the town who, on a daily basis, attend the Last Post ceremony held underneath the Menin Gate. Whilst the group gathered to witness the ceremony, 3 students were afforded the honour of laying a wreath to remember the fallen. Read more >

Pre-tour presentation

Anglia is pleased to offer an evening presentation to all students, their parents and school staff travelling with us on all our residential tours - at no additional cost!

Schools who are travelling with us on non-residential tours are more than welcome to request a personal presentation but this will involve a very small additional cost. However we can offer an excellent alternative. Anglia has produced a high quality professionally made 40 minute film that can be shown at a parents evening as well as to students in classrooms before they go. The film gives a detailed insight into the tour and more importantly how we as a company deliver on the ground. It also deals with the administration aspects of the tour and it has been very well received indeed by schools that have used it in lieu of a personal presentation.

Your Desk Officer will be able to give you more details.
