Berlin

The centre of Imperial Germany, the rise of the Nazis and the flash point of the Cold War, Berlin is a city steeped in history. From the magnificent stadium built by the Nazis for the 1936 Olympics to the remains to the Berlin Wall it has something to suit everyone. The magnificent shops in the Kurfurstendamm and the KaDeWe (Berlin’s equivalent of Harrods) make it one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Berlin is accessible with direct flights from most major airports in the UK.

Istanbul

The largest city in Turkey and fifth largest city in the world,  Istanbul is the cultural, economic, and financial centre of Turkey. Located on both sides of the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul has a foothold in two continents and as such is often seen as the gateway between Europe and Asia.

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque, popularly known as the Blue Mosque and built on the site of the Great Palace of Constantinople, the Topkapi Palace primary residence of Sultans from 1465 to 1856 during Ottoman Empire and the beautiful Hagia Sophia are all well worth a visit. Direct flights are available from many UK.

Krakow

A magical city, Krakow boasts the largest Square in Europe, packed full of cafes and restaurants. Shopping is an absolute delight with amber and silver being amongst some of the best bargains. A Krakow visit should include a visit to the death complex of Auschwitz/Birkenau a short distance away from the city which is a reminder to us all that ‘evil will triumph if good men do nothing’. Direct flights are available from most UK airports.

Paris

Paris is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world and rich in both history and culture. All of the main sites of historical significance are within easy reach of each other and the city is famous for its galleries, museums and of course its restaurants. Russia

Moscow

The capital of Russia in its various guises since March 1918, Moscow is now one of the busiest and most frequently visited cities on Earth. Sprawling around a series of bends in the Moskva River, over 10,500,000 people call Moscow home, making it the seventh largest city in the world.

Amongst its highlights are the UNESCO-listed World Heritage site of the Kremlin - still home to the President and government of Russia - St Basil's cathedral, Red Square and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour - demolished during Stalin's rule, only to be rebuilt between 1990-2000. Direct flights are available from many UK airports.

Munich

This beautiful Bavarian city has another side of culture, gourmet restaurants and of course its beer! Direct flights from most UK major airports.

Krakow

Prague

Prague is one of the few major cities in Europe to have avoided destruction during the last war. As a result, its medieval architecture remained intact offering a wealth of museums and palaces for the discerning visitor. Its night life is second to none and again, the city is packed with bars, cafes and restaurants.

Close to the city is the ‘model’ Concentration Camp of Terezin and the village of Lidice raised to the ground as a reprisal against the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. Direct flights are available from most UK airports.

Contrary to popular belief, Stockholm is cheaper than London and many other European cities. Direct flights are available from most UK airports.
