In conjunction with Square Route Walks, Anglia Battlefield Tours is delighted to be able to offer guided walking tours of the City of London. We often forget the incredible and rich history surrounding the rise of London through the centuries as one of the greatest cities on earth.
It is not only one of the commercial capitals of the world, but has a wealth of churches, architecture and history going back to Roman times. Square Route Walks offer a complete range of City walks that are generally up to two hours in duration.
We recommend that no more than two walks are selected in one day.
Schools can choose from the extensive range shown below, or we can mix and match to suit the requirements of the school. All Square Route guides are fully qualified, and have passed the rigorous City University Guiding Course.
The guides, are trained to bring the City of London's history alive in a most fascinating and amusing way. Discover where the term ‘double cross' comes from, why we are sometimes at ‘sixes and sevens' or why we ‘press someone for an answer'. I have personally found these tours rivetting and great fun.
